China: High-grade polyester does not require a license

China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment has officially approved the general Office of the General Administration of Customs, confirming that high-end PET is allowed to be imported as a general commodity and complies with general trade regulations, BIR has received information.

Materials belonging to THE TEXTILE industry standards of the People's Republic of China category A, B and C: Standard recycled polyester bottle grade chips (FZ/T 51008-2014) may be imported as general merchandise - no license required. It is worth noting that "any material that does not require repair and processing should not be managed as solid waste if it does not require repair and treatment for its original purpose".
